The Best Live Music Bar in Switzerland An Auld Pub is Naught without Live Music

There’s always an event in Basel yet there’s something alluring for expats about live music and events in an authentic Irish pub. Join us, and other expats, which includes many of our staff, to have a proper craic that you can tell your mates about, if you’re not still mullered in the morn.

The Auld Dubliner is a venue for a wide variety of grand music, local and from abroad. Although it’s the only pub on this side of the river, we think it’s the best pub in town, due in no small part to our patrons and the musicians who play here. It’s like a public house, a home away from home. Some of our regular musicians are from Ireland, and if history has much to say, the Irish know their music and their beer. Ireland is the home of bands like U2, Bono, Thin Lizzy, and so many more.

While having the craic and jamming out to Jazz, Punk Rock, a live concert, or the best DJ’s you can take a break from dancing, eat a meal from our restaurant in the pub, or get a fresh draught. Some of our bars can be seen as live music bars, by proximity, making your adventure for a fresh drink from the sound of live music as short as possible.
